We love to read!!! LOVE IT!!! And we are not ashamed to say. Kids book litter the office, we give books to our nannies, we give books to our nannies to give to the kids they care for, we encourage professional development of our office staff through reading, (I even own a library card!). We LOVE reading and books! In a day and age where is so easy to do something else; play a video game, watch tv/movie on the go, we still think the importance of reading is something to not be overlooked. Our nannies arrive at jobs with books in tow, we support local organizations that provide free books to those who can not afford them (Spread the Word NV) and all around encourage book lovers to do what makes them happy!
We are in the business of supporting the development of children to the best of our ability, and a huge part of that is books and reading. We love to watch “new” reader bang the hardbacks, flip the pages, look intently and imitate “readers”. We love to watch beginning readers find books they love, reread stories (even if they don’t read) with the voices, look at pictures and create new endings. Books open door to new realms and worlds. Books teach us lessons we don’t even know we are learning. This holiday season, think inside the book, and give the gift that gives long after the book is set aside. We will!
